Plant Operator (Field)- Polyethylene Gas Phase Section
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform or assist in the startup and shutdown of assigned plants and facilities according to approved operating procedures and instructions.
Conduct regular inspections and walkthrough of plant facilities to ensure plant is functioning efficiently. Also, spot malfunctions or symptoms and refer to Shift Supervisor or console operator.
Respond to emergency or upset conditions by taking the necessary field actions, such as flaring, blowdown, isolation, diversion, and switching activities, while maintaining close communication with the Console Operator and Shift Supervisor.
Collect sample and perform process chemical and physical test as required.
Support or Assist Shift supervisor if required and as per instructed such as communication with other section, contractor or vendor and issue work permit.
Perform in-plant housekeeping duties and provide appropriate technical advice to other field operator or sharing good and bad experiences with colleagues, upon request, to realize efficient and effective operations.
Monitor the assigned operating area, take corrective actions within authorized limits, and report any issues requiring additional support to the direct supervisor. Successfully complete all required PRC qualification programs, including JTS and OCCP assessments, to maintain operational certification.
Handle emergency situations in accordance with PRC procedures and protocols. Participate in training, qualification, and development programs as required, including MTC assignments when applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
High School/ diploma
High school with 5 years of experience in Naphtha or Diploma with 4 years of experience in Polyethylene.
Plant specific understanding of mechanism and start/stop field operation
Basic understanding of instruments, DCS and emergency shutdown system taking in charge
Thorough understanding of refinery or petrochemical plant layout and operating process taking in charge
Safety awareness and implementing safety policy and Hazards protection
