Lead Technician
Duties & Responsibilities:
Having a wide experience in the maintenance field, troubleshooting, testing & commissioning, repair defects, finding alternative solutions to keep the power system running and reliable in all electrical facilities, including but not limited to LV/HV switchgear, protection systems, SF6 Gas handling, VFD, UPS, Battery Charger, Battery Bank, Power Cable, transformers & its oil, motors, MOV, Generators, heaters.
• Equipment diagnosis, locate faulty equipment, determine nature of repairs and spare parts required to plan the work correctly.
• Experience in execution of all preventive maintenance as well as the predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment (i.e. thermography, transformer oil analysis, partial discharges, etc.)
• Assist in monitoring, facilitating, and control of Contractor’s works under OPEX/Service Contracts
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions from it.
• Evaluate and look for potential improvement opportunities and utilize them to enhance the electrical equipment/plant reliability.
• Recommend new modifications to improve existing facilities. Strive for improvement and suggest innovative ideas and methods for achieving better results.
• Develop technical reports, lessons learned sessions, technical analysis and deliver them to the department management when necessary.
• Deliver training on various technical topics.
• Generate guidelines on how to use electrical testing equipment and deliver the required training classes.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Foreman.
• Has a wide experience in electrical equipment testing (breakers, transformers, cables, motors…)
• Proficient in VFD software tools programming, configuration, and diagnostics functions for the various types such as TMEIC, Toshiba, ABB, Siemens, etc.
• Has experience in the UPS (uninterruptible Power Supply) equipment and did many success troubleshooting/repairs
• Experience in Protective Relaying Systems, Electric Metering/Measuring Devices, Intelligent Electrical Devices (IEDs), Power Monitoring and Control systems and has the ability of downloading protection settings, Evaluation of the settings and events, Testing of all protection functions and safe uploading of protection settings.
• Follow PRC safety stander and guidelines
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Discipline with minimum 8 years in Refining and Petrochemical industry.
Strong analytical Skills, orientation to results, conceptualization skills, and leadership skills.
Advanced computer literacy (Office tools, SAP applications).
High experience in diagnostics & repair methods for electrical equipment in refining and petrochemical industries.
High experience in international maintenance standards and best practices
