Senior Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all engineering activities to ensure timely and safe execution of assigned projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Area 1: Planning and Task Allocation
- Manage all scheduling activities for assigned projects.
- Participate in initial planning during design and procurement stages.
- Identify the overall critical path for major projects.
- Key tasks include:
- Project administration
- Coordination with relevant departments
- Procurement of contracts and materials
- Project execution and commissioning
Area 2: Accountability
- Ensure successful completion of engineering projects.
- Liaise with departments such as MFT, Inspection, Maintenance, Engineering Support, and others as required.
- Coordinate with Industrial Security and Safety for ID processing and ensure compliance with minimum safety training per Corporate Safety Management System.
Area 3: Engineering Package Preparation
- Assist in screening proposed projects to optimize resource utilization.
- Prioritize planning activities for economic use of resources.
- Decide whether projects will be executed in-house or by external contractors.
Area 4: Project Budget Control
- Monitor budgets and track trends.
- Review and approve project invoices.
- Ensure schedule compatibility with budget requirements and recommend adjustments.
- Conduct budget vs. expense reviews to prevent financial overruns.
Area 5: Reporting
- Review and consolidate progress reports to support management decisions.
- Provide quarterly updates on project progress and spending in coordination with Corporate Planning.
Area 6: Communication
- Participate in meetings with proponents and contractors.
- Resolve engineering and management issues promptly.
- Maintain regular contact with project proponents.
Area 7: Coaching
- Mentor junior engineers and supervise their work.
- Ensure proper skill transfer and adherence to performance standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Engineering Degree with Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 12 Years of Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical (large scale) Industry
