Inspector (Electrical)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains monitoring of cathodic protection (CP) systems and associated components to ensure all facilities are cathodically protected. The periodic activities with safety acts shall be performed in compliance with the company specifications, including governmental requirements.
- To determine if the Rectifiers are operating and are no physical defect observed.
- Measured Rectifier’s DC system output levels and the associated Junction Boxes, Bond box, Anode Junction boxes, with physical check on all visible connections, devices and fittings for cleanliness and tightness including each mechanical protection/supports.
• Potential survey measurements (soil and aqueous applications) on all test stations and access points.
• Coordinate to the concerned maintenance team for the results of the collected oil samples for consolidation to the annual reports.
• Maintained all-data records taken during respective periodic survey to the consolidated yearly survey reports with the as-built IFC drawings of each CP system, and with the CP monitoring tracking log sheets.
• Shall provide the findings with recommendations to concerned Maintenance Coordinator for the applicable defect notifications for rectifications.
• Perform tests to verify the presence of stray current interference (underground pipelines) and recommend method(s) to mitigate the interference.
• Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with prevention of corrosion requiring knowledge of power distribution systems
and electrical safety codes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical diploma in the field of Mechanical/Chemical/Metallurgical/Electrical or equivalent with 5+ years of corrosion/cathodic protection work experience in the oil & gas industry.
- High school with 10+ years of corrosion/cathodic protection work experience in the oil & gas industry.
- NACE CP Level II certification required.
- Excellent communication and computer skills using word/excel and other MS office application tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, organize and prioritize daily work schedules.
- Must be fluent in the English language (Oral & Written Skills)
