Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for the plant control system (DCS) and shutdown system (SIS).
• Prepare design packages related to the DCS/SIS based on operational and process requests.
• Recommend modifications to improve existing facilities and promote standardization.
• Implement new or modified logic in the shutdown system.
• Improve and optimize the process control logic and systems of DCS and SIS, considering operability, stability, and safety.
• Maintain all backups, licenses, and software related to the shutdown system.
• As assigned, prepare, review, and consolidate root cause analysis reports, investigation reports, or engineering studies to support management decision-making and plant troubleshooting.
• Provide coaching to junior engineers and supervise
• their work to ensure proper skill transfer and performance according to standards.
• Track and follow up on alarm bad actors and control loops on manual, MOS.
• Participate in other activities (e.g., safety meetings, weekly meetings, OME, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

• A first degree in Engineering in Electronics Engineering or a related field such as Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process control and automation, or safety system design and support in the oil and petrochemical industry.
• Thorough knowledge of the Yokogawa DCS system and Triconex SIS system.
• Thorough knowledge of process, operations, and control systems.
• Working knowledge of company standards and engineering codes.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
