Plant Operator (Field)- Polymer II Operation
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute safe and compliant start-up, operation, and shutdown of assigned plant sections as per standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine field inspections and surveillance rounds to ensure all equipment and systems are operating within normal parameters.
- Promptly identify and report abnormal conditions, leaks, vibrations, or alarms to the Control Room Operator or Shift Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records in field logbooks, checklists, and operating sheets.
- Assist in conducting field isolations, purging, and flushing during maintenance or emergency shutdown activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams during equipment handovers and startups.
- Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and daily shift briefings.
- Support implementation of plant housekeeping, safety audits, and quality programs.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School , diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Operations.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Field Operator in a polymer plant, preferably EPDM.
- Sound understanding of polymer plant equipment, process operations, safety practices, and control systems.
- Basic Safety Training, HAZOP awareness, PTW, and ESD System familiarity.
