Project Engineer
Job Purpose:
In general, Project Engineer is responsible for producing a complete, accurate, biddable, and buildable set of plans for all the structures in a project. Also, responsible for materials or equipment required for the assigned project within approved budget and schedule and coordinating with other departments for timely deliveries or services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management - Achieve safe and stable operations in the shift by supervising and coordinating plant personnel in startup or shutdown and other major operational changes, ensuring that operators follow all standard operation procedures in the execution of scheduled tasks during shift operation and coordinating plant operations with other connected plant.
2. Maintenance - Coordinate with Maintenance personnel to ensure maintenance activities are conducted with the least disruption to production.
3. Staff Development - Enhance shift operators' operational skills and knowledge by regular coaching to meet operational requirements.
4. Trouble shooting - Ensure minimum disruption to stable operation by detecting plant and equipment problems and implementing counter measures after trouble shooting.
5. Safety Management - Ensure shift operation tasks and operations meet safety and environmental requirements and report any environmental concerns to Deputy Section Manager.
6. Record- keeping - Verify operating logs to ensure records are accurate.
Education & Minimum Requirements:
1- Bachelor of Engineering in the field of Mechanical Engineering or related science disciplines
2- Experience in engineering & construction in a related industry
3- Good knowledge in engineering fields and construction
4- Design Service: Conduct KOM with proponent, design section and other departments for any new project and participate in design package review meetings
5- Project Execution Plan: Develop corresponding execution plan/schedule in line with the agreed strategy with section head and assumes responsibility for the execution of the plan
6- Logistics and Budget Management: Initiate Purchase Request (PR)/ service requests of all materials or equipment required for the assigned Project within approved budget and schedule and coordinate with other department for timely deliveries or services
7- Project Coordination: Work and facilitate/ Coordinate among different Sections and other Departments or third parties to ensure completion of project and achieve planned goals and deadlines
8- Project Execution: Carry out execution of all Projects according to scope of work, schedule and budget, following Engineering Standards and codes and in line with PRC QHSE policy
9- Detection and Prevention Measures: Identify in advance potential deviation from approved budget or schedule and propose and implement required measures to mitigate and/or correct as necessary
10- General Task: Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Project Execution Section Head
