Port Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive and process ship acceptance request via TVS system within specified time limits and accuracy.
- Assess ship condition through web-based systems to ensure ship condition complaints are traced and corrected accordingly.
- Conduct safety audits to spot any defective vessels and submit timely and acurate report as required.
- Conduct daylight inspection on ships to ensure recording and reporting of all deviations from standard rules.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Marine Technical Support Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum sea going experience 3 years.
- In-depth knowledge of regulations and operational procedures pertaining to oil, chemical, and gas tankers, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards.
- Proven competency as a "Technical Author" with the ability to meticulously maintain and update official port documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Able to provide internal and external initiators of vessel acceptance requests.
