Procurement Officer - (Petro Chemical)
Duties & Responsibilities:
1: Perform the key feedstock procurement activities including:
- Review future feedstock requirement with Planning & Scheduling teams.
- Review Purchase requisition to verify accuracy, terms, and specifications.
- Create purchase orders in SAP maintaining applicable terms and conditions of supply.
- Co-ordinate and finalize with suppliers the delivery schedule, vessel nomination, demurrage etc for each shipment.
- Co-ordinate and secure the shipping documents timely from the supplier.
- Monitor shipment progress and ensure timely custom clearance in close co-ordination with custom handling agent.
- Arrange with the concerned parties (e.g. Planning & Scheduling teams, PED, FAD, etc.) within the company for smooth discharge ofthe cargo.
- Co-ordinate with concerned teams for timely GR posting in SAP for each PO.
- Create and process RFQ for spot procurement of feedstock.
- Track the status of all purchase requisitions and orders for timely execution.
- Maintain record of all relevant documents related to requisitions, contracts, orders, etc.
2: Feedstock Inventory: Co-ordinate with Planning & Scheduling teams to monitor feedstock inventory and schedule regular shipment planning.
3: Invoice Processing: Process vendors’ invoices in co-ordination with Marketing for price verification and with Finance for payment settlement.
4: Demurrage Support: Review demurrage claim for correctness of calculation and support concerned teams with relevant supporting and documentation for minimizing demurrage claims.
5: Tools & Systems: Co-ordinate with IT and SAP teams for resolution of any system issues in performance of regular activities.
6: Compliance: Adhere to procurement policies, procedures and authority guidelines in accordance with the company’s rules, regulations, policies and instructions, ISO guidelines and audit observations.
- Have the responsibility of development and the execution of the Company short-term and mid-term Production Plans from the feedstock procurement to end-products dispatch to ensure optimum operation in the most economic manner in line with the company Vision, Mission and Objectives, and ensure the deployment of best practices and leading-edge tools in the field of planning and scheduling, mass balance, yield accounting, and work processes.
Minimum Requirements:
a) 3-year experience in in a Procurement role in similar industry.
b). Good background in procurement and supply chain management.
c) Bachelor Degree in business/Engineering
d) Refinery / Petrochemical experience preferred.
