Plant Inspector
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reports to Lead Inspector/Inspection Supervisor in the assigned area. Perform assigned inspection tasks and reports the results.Attend OME meetings as directed by Lead Inspector and plan & perform requested inspections. Responsible for PZV External InspectionProgram every 2 years.
• Assist Lead Inspector in preparing the EIS for assigned unit. Schedule assigned NDT inspection tasks (OSI & T&I) in the area and monitor progress. Provide support in arranging work permits, insulation removals and scaffold access for planned inspections. MonitorOSI progress.
• Documents all the findings in the standard format and submit for Lead Inspector Review and concurrence before filing. Review and consolidate Inspection results and assist Lead Inspector in developing Repair or replacement (in-kind) recommendations.
• Maintain updated tracking logs for IWS Recommendations, EIS Plans, OSI plans and IWS Closures for the assigned units. Update the Inspection history files.
• Assist the maintenance planning team in planning maintenance activities in order to have a proper schedule of activities.Add list of duties here
Minimum Requirements:
- Two (2) Year Higher National Diplomas in the field of Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a University or College plus 1yearsRefinery/Petro-chemical Plant Field Inspection Experience or High School Certificates in Science Subjects plus 2 years Refinery/Petro-chemical Plant Field Inspection Experience.
• Reasonable English Language Skills in Reading/Writing/Oral is required. Work experience in an operating refinery or petro chemicalplant attached to the Field Inspection Unit is mandatory.
• Ability to read and understand Technical Instructions, P&I Diagrams, Inspection Isometrics and knowledge on applicable InspectionCodes & Standards, Awareness of NDT Methods are required basic skills.
• Fair knowledge on Hazardous Materials, MSDS, and Equipment external/Internal Configurations is required.dd list of requirements here
